Audio System wiring?
OK I "have heard" that even though my 2012 RT has no audio system, the wiring to the speaker housings is there as part of the basic wiring harness. Is this true? What I'm hoping to do is to be able to use/wire in an audio player of some kind into the audio wiring if it is already there as part of the basic wiring harness? PS: Would this be more trouble than it's worth? To get a spyder AM/FM radio and speakers installed will cost almost 800 dollars!

Yes it is there for the front speakers. I do not think the wiring is there for the rear speakers as that was an add-on for the AC version. But I am going by memory so I maybe wrong on the rear wiring.

WIRING HARNESS
IMHO .... all RT's have the same wiring harness, it would make no sense ( economically ) to have different ones for different RT models . However since the GS - RS never had any Radio system ( and missing quite a few of other RT's systems ) they may have there own wiring harness.......... Mike

Wiring Harness?
Is there a wiring Harness diagram that might be available to find the leads to the front speakers do you know? I just want to connect a lead for a mp3 player or smart phone. If the front speakers aren't there I might just chuck the whole idea and just sing to myself & the wife. She thinks I'm a pretty good singer anyway, at least that's what she tells me!

Your best route to get the info you need is to invest less than $30 to obtain a copy of the service manual. One seller is Canammanuals.com. I believe all of the service manual copies they have include wiring diagrams. The manual is a superb tool to have when doing ANYTHING with your Spyder!

I guess I don't understand why a person with no audio system to begin with would consider anything but a bluetooth setup to their helmets?there are so many options and price ranges out there and it is so easy.
