I'd like to know a little bit more about them...
(Is it just the picture, or do they seem VERY narrow??)

They are made in China and have 250cc engine. Probably all they need. I looked at buying one back in 2010 or so,but too many problems with Chinese stuff and hard to get parts here. Maybe it is better over there.

    Default Not sure...

I think you are thinking of another one we have seen much the same size as ours but as you said a 250cc engine. This one looks like some modified scooter of which they have tons..

    Cool

I know a little about this trike (below) as my dealer stocks their Quad. I've actually sat on one!
If they are reasonably reliable then they are good value for money and the finish is waay better than
you'd deem possible for a $1000 trike. Take a look...
    https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...493959971.html

Scroll right down the page.....I'd expect to pay $1000 for just those wheels!! In fact I wouldn't object to a pair
of similar looking wheels on my F3-S!!

Oh! Here's their answer to the Elio! Same 250cc motor but side by side and a steering wheel! $2000 - $3000

If that is true someone did a great job on the conversion. It's a pretty machine and it looks like they enjoy it.

Just FYI, Bob here are some pics of the Quads my dealer sells, I believe they're 300cc.
What is amazing is their presentation....quite gorgeous. P1030904.jpg P1030905.jpg P1030909.jpg

    Default Chinese knock-offs

A number of years ago I purchased a couple of Chinese ATVs for the grandsons. A Kazuma 110cc and a Kazuma 250cc. I was somewhat apprhensive at first. The engines were Honda clones. They were not as robust as an ATV from Honda, Yamaha, etc. but the kids rode the crap out of them for a number of years with no major issues. Looking back, I would do it again.
