Christmas Movies
Here's another question for all of you.
What is your favorite Christmas Movie?
(Yes: the first two "Die Hard" movies, and "Red" count!)
Mine is still:
"It's a Wonderful Life", followed closely by "Christmas Story".

A bit off color
But just hilarious if you think of how opposite they are from what we really think of as Christmas, but may be more real than any of us want to believe.

Christmas isn't Christmas until I have watched the Die Hard movies.

Not a movie.
When I was little, many moons ago, am 59, I would get into the Christmas sprit by singing Little Drummer Boy by Perry Como with my dad while driving down the road.
My father has passed, and I have passed on the tradition to my daughter and son.
Don't hear it on the radio anymore, do have it on my iPhone and play it, it reminds me of family and the meaning of Christmas.
OK!
I gotta go with Jingle All the Way with Schwarzeneger!

Did you see where somebody actually produced a limited run of the Turbo-Man action Figure?

We try to watch Mixed Nuts with an all-star cast every year. It's a pretty odd movie.

Favorite Christmas Movie
For me (us) the all-time #1 top-of-the-charts is White Christmas. As an eighth grader, I and my then-girlfriend weren't allowed to date so we conspired to go see White Christmas at the local theater. Her mom took her and a couple of friends and my dad took me and a couple of friends - to throw our parents off the track and not suspect we were meeting there. I sat right behind her - so that it wasn't an official date. That was in 1961. We did get married (1969) and have watched the movie every Christmas since then, 55 years total.
1. White Christmas
2. The Christmas Story
3. National Lampoon Christmas Vacation -(we all have a Cousin Eddie, right?)
4. Elf (the missus likes this one a lot)

Miracle on 34th Street played just before Thanksgiving. White Christmas Played last week. I haven't seen Holiday Inn yet. Two others I haven't seen in years are March of the Wooden Soldiers with Laurel and Hardy and the Frankie/Annette remake Babes in Toyland. I never wrap presents until Christmas Eve after everybody else goes to bed, then I stay up watching Christmas Story and wrapping until 2 or 3 in the morning.

How about Lethal Weapon.....A really nice rendition of Jingle Bell Rock and the basis of the music almost right through
the movie. Almost....

A few years MGM re acquired the rights to Babes In Toyland (March of the Wooden Soldiers) 1934 and completely restored it to its 1934 theater version, both in B&W and color on DVD Find that if you can. I think you can download it off of HULU right now.
