Thanks for sharing.
Sir, you'll need to do more than try. If you don't get in the habit of keeping the RPM's above 4,000 you will be replacing the clutch, sooner, rather than later. The SE clutch does not totally lock...
Hands down the most unreliable and costliest to maintain motor driven cycle I've owned over the past 55 years. In fact, there's no doubt repairs to my 2011 have exceeded the cost of repairs of all...
Damn!
You're both in my thoughts and prayers.
What a shame. Probably best I say no more.
What about using 20-50 W Blend in a 2015 sst 998
Nothing says you can't run it in the summer months but, imo, you really don't need to.
With a little research you can access details on any oils test proven heat limits.

Here's a great little tool that works flawlessly and allows it to be a one person job.

I chalk some of that up to the fact that he has a boss.
Though, like everything else we read or hear,
personal experience and good judgement is paramount.
But that's just me.
I picked up on that too. Recently viewed one of his videos where he totally denounced the use of car tires, and referenced the millions of dollars BRP had spent on product development of the Kenda's,...

Everyone responds differently for many and varied reasons. Sounds like they need to take an RT on an extended test ride. As the old saying goes. The proof is in the pudding.
Don't know what to say Dave, other than......unreal. you get better soon.
Am hoping Chupaca's wisdom nailed it and nothing is wrong.
Once you know, and if you would, come back to this post and let us know.

Makes me wonder if the relay switch is getting power or seeing ground? Almost has to be on that side if you can run the fan with a jumper. My apologies about the pin id #'s. Working off of old school...
Have always been curious if rear shock failure and level of inflation intersected?
If you don't mind my asking.
What was your normal level of inflation?
The same thing happened to one of our previous members. He was a motorcycle cop, on duty when it happened. Obviously he survived but it banged him up.....big time.

Hope the OP realizes we're only thinking of him and his passenger and not picking the installation apart. ;)

When you next have time. Pull the relay and test for continuity of each leg(hot side & ground) between the relay plug pins and fan plug. If all tests Okay.
With the Spyder running and the relay...

Uncouple the plug at the fan and put a meter on the relay side to see if power is getting that far.
Nothing on a Spyder is hard..........unless you're in a hurry. If I'm in a hurry, I walk away, until I'm not.
Sure sounds like it. I'd pull the connector at the fan to see if it is getting power. If so, while disconnected and if you can, test the fan with an alternate power source.
