Dave, I didn't mean your customer service personally but the Sena 'factory' service, lots of complaints about them. I have no doubts abou buying anything from you. I read the same complaints about...
I spoke to Dave and he recommended the Sena 10C or the SMH 10. After doing a lot of searching I have narrowed things down a bit to the Sena SMH 10, the UClear Amp Go or the Cardo Scala Freecom 2. I...
[QUOTE=Spyderjim2016;1354720]I purchased these 2 for $80.
works great with my phone and to my passenger. Nothing fancy just basic stuff. Good value for the buck![/QUOTE
Are you talking about the...
In looking at prices, to get a general idea, on Amazon, some of the Sena sets like SMH 20's and some others at $240 +/- for a single headset, thus somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 for a pair is...
Thanks, I found more info on the 5's which I'll probably get, since we don't usually do group rides and the folks I generally ride with don't use any commo devices. Also since it is just for me and...
I'm looking at various different bluetooth sets primarily for commo from driver to rider and cell phone. I've looked at the Sena SMH 5 set for a reasonable price plus several other Sena knock offs....
Phil, that's waht happens when you live in state controlled by Dem. progressive's. In Colorado you always take the plates off of whatever you sell that is licensed and the buyer has to go to DMV with...
Using my laptop, with Windows 10 and Googe Chrome. I was able to do it today, but had to up load the pics first and then go back and type in text. Thanks
I wouldn't say it doesn't work, I was not happy with the way it fits into the shift arm. If I had to do again, I would still get the Seal boards, but just modify the included shift lever, if you have...
You're right its a PIA to get the Allen head drain bolt out of the crankcase, I used Castrol 4 5W40 full synthetic, got a good deal for 6qts. on Amazon. Thanks
It takes a little fiddlin to get it in right and I had to trim the bottom plastic panel to get it to bolt back on, but I'm convinced it will be much easier to change oil. I'm also going to put one...
There is an O ring on the valve body and the directions saw to turn 1/8 after seating by hand, I had to turn it a little more to get it in the right spot. nothing hangs out below the plastic si I;m...
I just finished changing the oil in my 2012 RS SM5. I changed the oil tank drain to a magnetic type and changed th crankcase to a valve that lets me attach a hose to the valve and then opening it up....
Did that multiple times with no success. I can post to threads but attachments aren't working. Thanks
Every time I try to attach pics to post I get a message that I'm not allowed to do it beacuse I'm not signed in, even when I am signed on. What gives?
You can look at my thread in the RS Hop Talk section about Issue with Seal floorboards and see what I did. May not work for what you have in mind, but will give an idea.
Mike
Just finished my 2012 RS SM 5 and according to the dipstick in the oil tank, mine took almost 5 qts of oil. I warmed ot up prior to the oil and filter change and drained close to 5 qts of old oil....
Thanks for washer idea, much simpler.
As far as I can tell, the brake is fully engaged, don't think I could push down any further, but you have given me some food for thought, I might try to raise it another 1/4 - 1/2 " just to make...
Thanks John.
Mike
I put a set of Seal boards on my RS and I truly love them, but I wasn't pleased with the asthetic's of the brake pedal supplied don't get me wrong ot works great I just didn't like how it looked....
As a final note to this issue, I resorted to making my own shifter to replace the one I received from Seal, now this is not to say that their's doesn't work, I just decided to engineer my own. I...
Jacked'er up a little and finally found the crankcase drain, sorta hidden in there. Thanks.
Mike
This may sound kinda dumb, but I've taken off all the lower panels on my 2012 RS SM 5 and I can't find any crankcase oil drain plug. In my shop manual there is no mention of a crank case oil drain,...
Yup, I did some mods to the shifter, like welding a couple of very small pieces of 18ga steel to it and using about 6 washers to space the connection to the bikes shift arm. I'm not real sure how...
Anyone know if a heel toe shifter for the RT will fit an RS? I need to find some type of heel toe shifter to use on my RS with Seal floorboards, I had to do some mods on the Seal shifter, but am a...
Finally got the shifter to work. It took me welding some small strips of 18 ga. steel to the back and the top on the piece that goes into the star and then I put about 7 or 8 washers on the screw...
Thanks Al, I'm not exactly sure what you did based on the pics. What I think I'm going to try is to bend the front part of the shifter where the bolt and large washer go and then fab up a small...
Took he Can out today for a very very short trip and found that I can shift up OK still have problems with shifting down, got home and saw that the shift lever was bent, I guess from down shifting, I...
