    Ahh. . . I see your problem.

It is NOT a trunk, it is a glove compartment. Still, that is about 60 times more storage space than other motorcycles have.

It is a shock for people who have owned any of the previous models of...

    Excellent Summary

Gary, the only other Cons I would consider:
    Windshield/wind protection
    Ease of mounting & dis-mount

I personally don't have a problem with any of these, but other Spyder riders and...

    Look at this

If you look at the F3 section of Can Am's Parts section, you can see exploded diagrams of the F3 and get an idea of what is holding the parts on.

Here is the link to the parts section:...

    So, I guess . . . .

    . . . . now there will be a little tug-of-war over accessories.

    Congratulations to both of you.

    Hmmm . . . .

. . . . I don't think ( guess ) that you can do that with a SE or a SM. I wouldn't think it would work if there was a dead battery - too many other things are dependent upon power in order for the...

    Seems to be typical.

When new, my F3 would 'surge' a little when I let it downshift by itself coming to a stop. It still does, but I don't think anywhere near what it used to - or maybe I am getting used to it.

    So, I...

    I agree . . . . .

. . . . . if you are surprised by the state of your F3's performance, you didn't evaluate the bike or understand what you were getting into. Sell it! Really, you will NEVER be happy with it.

    As an...

    Yes . . . .

. . . . it is in the manual. The passenger's seat is released from/by the ignition switch- then you will see the two bolts securing the drivers portion.

    That looks GOOD . . . . .

    . . . . . I think I will put that on my To Do list.

    Thanks for posting this mod.

    Welcome. . . .

. . . so, was the wait worth it?

And, what is that 'sticker/decal' that is about where your right knee would be?

    Tom
  11. That "explains" it . . . .

. . . . . but given the number of nit-pickers that ride Spyders, I am sure the debate and whining will rage on.

 Thanks for posting your solution Taz.

    I agree. . . . .

. . . . . that just doesn't match my experience either. Something is wrong.

With my 18" shield, and me being 5'8", at the lowest setting, the top of the shield is about even with my upper lip. I...

Wait to later in the year . . .

. . . . you will appreciate the extra inches.

At 5'7", I had the 20" and loved it. But, I traded it for an 18" - which I also love. The only difference I have noticed ( besides having more...
  14. Easy, but it has not happened yet.

It is pretty simple to do with "smart" phones. They can be set to NOT make or accept any calls or texts when in motion over a specified speed. 911, emergency alerts, and GPS can be allowed. Downside...

    Cool!!!

In one fell swoop, you managed to buy a great bike and make a once-in-a-lifetime experience you will carry with you for the rest of your life!

    What a great deal!

    No . . . .

. . . if I re-flashed you EMS, your F3 would have the performance profile of a brick.

To quote Marvin, " Mark my words, this will end in tears."

That is a first for me.

Surprising based on my experience, but it is nothing new for me to read something on this forum that leaves me scratching my head. Sorry it didn't work for you. Totally worth it for me.

I am not sure what you are waiting for . . . .

. . . . It has been discussed here a lot and I have not seen a posting by anybody who has bought one that doesn't like it - the Masdstad shield.

    Interesting

I had my 3k service today and was a little concerned that I might now have the irritating vibration that some have noticed. Nope, still nothing nothing noticeable for me.

    I hope this gets resolved...

    Unfortunately. . . . . .

    . . . . Economy isn't in any way, shape, or form a part of the F3.

I don't think I have ever heard any Spyder owner say, " I just fell in love with it, it is just so darn economical! "

    A test tomorrow . . .

. . . . I am going to leave the fenders black, but I am going to paint ( temporary ) the raised running lights/reflector molding yellow to see if I like it. It may look too busy for a banana.

    Very nice!

Lots to enjoy in the F3, I am over 3k and still haven't used the Eco mode either.

I'm just too infatuated with the throttle. :p

    Tom
  25. Ditto

    :agree: Me too.
Mine goes in tomorrow. I've been doing more short/errand runs on the bike, but have not done my usual long day runs.

    Another idea . . . .

. . . another rider here in NM took off the rear fender and then mounted it ( screws ) to the top of the rear wheel well so that the plate was just under the brake/turn signals.

    It looked very...

    Fixed that!

Fixed my F3 so it is now 10 to 15 mph faster.

Great bike, now faster since it is Slingshot Yellow.

I still have the license plate holder and the raised running lights on the fenders to do.
