For what it's worth, it has been posted several times that the bars/temperature scale is as follows:

1 bar = 153 degrees
2 bars = 171 degrees
3 bars = 183 degrees

Yes they are a product of China, and I hate to say it, but they are very well made. Nice embroidery on cap and embroidered "Y" on the bill with an embosed BRP logo snap on the back.
