Thanks!
This is how I fixed my heat and over active nanny issue! If your waiting for BRP to bail you out of this mess, you'll be waiting for a long time. It's easier for them to drag it out and eventually it...
A 2013 Spyder RS does not have adjustable shocks. That is one of the changes in 13. I bought a lightly used set of RT shocks to put up front and they made a big difference. I'm sure there are plenty...
Congrats, those are great bikes as well! I agree with the "have to muscle thru twisties". My new machine just flows through turns with little to no effort. While owning the Spyder I forgot they make...
Your absolutely correct, but the interesting thing is I'm 6'6" and am very comfortable on it also. It's a bike that really fits anyone.
At least your getting some great deals on some great parts!! Lol....
Well I'm over my Spyder phase and back to two wheels. It was a tough decision to move on, but the nanny and heat issues were my deciding factors. I'm glad I got to chat with and meet some of the...

I don't remember the model#. They are a very good marine style speaker that sound very good.
This custom sound system is for sale in the for sale thread if anyone is interested!!
I have a "like new" HMF for sale in the for sale threads if your still looking.
I have a 2013 RS with the Smooth Spyder tensioner. When I first installed it I adjusted it to about 12#. I didn't get a vibration, but I did notice a whining sound at higher speeds. I adjusted mine...
Nice rack!! Lol.... No really, you did a great job on that mod. If I didn't know better I would have guessed it to be a bought rack. From one fabricator to another, good job.
I decided to buy my Spyder for a couple of reasons. First I have a bad knee and I wanted to buy something for a "long term bike". Second (and more to your point) I was riding home on a motorcycle in...
I don't care which definition you live by, a Spyder is not a true motorcycle. I like my spyder a lot, but it's not a motorcycle, it's a trike. Technically it's a reverse trike! On the flip side a...
How soon do you think they'll be ready?
I have said the same thing over and over. It doesn't help that a lot of people buy things with emotion. People pre-order and put down payments on new model Spyders without even knowing what the end...
I do not know Scotty, but I can say that I'd take the tech information of DrewNJ over the majority of the members that offer "tech advice" aka their opinions.. I have to agree with DrewNJ that the...
These will not work on a 2013-14 fly-by-wire throttle.
I'm currently looking for a new windshield for my RS. I am 6'6" and about 270lbs so I'm having a hard time finding something that will not give me helmet buffering and provide good wind/rain...
Thats my listing for the modded control. I am blown away that nobody has stolen it at that price. If you buy BRP's cruise controller it's gonna cost you about $400.
I like electronic cruise (factory installed), but I'm not a fan of aftermarket mechanical throttle locking devices either.
No throttle locks for a 2013-14.
It'll take a few Spyder owners away, but it is a completely different animal. I agree it's more car like than motorcycle like. I think it will probably be a popular item, just not a "motorcycle"...
Well played sir, well played.....
If your interested in doing this mod but don't feel confident. I have for sale a complete right hand control with the mod already done. I posted it in the For Sale section of Spyder Lovers.
As far as I know they are the same. I know the side cases for the RS-ST are the same as Givi just with the typical BRP mark up. Givi makes the cases for BRP.
I don't know of anyone that has done the RS-RT handlebar swap. I'm not sure of the height difference between ST-RT, but if it's much I think you'll run into wire lenght issues.
If you have a cat on it then I can't see any reason it won't work just fine. I agree it will be loud, but it's yours, build it like you want it. I see all kinds on crap on Spyders that I think is...
