welcome I'd say they SHOULD take $13,500 for it unless they are upside down in it and need payoff. I haven't priced the SE5's but you can get a brand new SM5 for at least $1K less than that here.
Ok, good to know. Looks like it'll be the RoboBrackets for me then.
yup, I do have them mounted..
I'm still getting a lot of noise and some head buffeting with the 23" BRP Ultra Touring at highway speeds (65-75 mph). I did 150 miles 2 up on Saturday with a strong head wind and it was almost...
Yes, welcome I got my '08 full moon about a month ago.
Speaking of trucks, I need to go out and start mine so the battery doesn't go dead from sitting.
There is a really cool video of a guy testing the T-Rex on a track in the rain on youtube. There is also a video of one drag racing a Spyder, but it only really shows the first few seconds of the...
I don't think I would wear a fabric or leather jacket in hot weather, at least for in-town riding. However, I've been really impressed with the mesh pullover jackets I picked up for my wife and I....
:agree: I'll be adding these to my list of future mods..
I'm definitly going to be buying one of these air jackets down the road. Right now for slow cruising in warm weather I wear a mesh armored jacket, half helmet with goggles, jeans, boots, gloves. For...
I got my new 2008 SM5 with the 3 year warranty for $13,058.00 after everything, including tax. The best price quote I got on an '09 was about $1000 more than that. For the yellow or red it would have...
I can size your photo's and post them if you would like. I want to see how your windshield turned out too!
I've had big bore kits on my ATV's and Dirtbikes. Just doing a big bore alone doesn't generally yield a whole lot, mostly torque but often you lose some rev's and it revs a bit slower.
I found...
I disagree, I would say a scooter is way safer than a poorly engineered 3 wheeler any day. With a 3 wheeler you're depending on the vehicle to stay flat as you TURN through a corner with the bars....
The other concerning factor is the narrower width of it. It's 48" vs the Spyder's 59". I imagine this thing would flip easily if you had to swerve.
Interesting to hear that people have had some success on the Chinese scooters. Perhaps this is more of a dirtbike/atv issue?
On my ATV's/Dirtbikes I change the oil & oil filter after every other...
Ok, I'm curious if anyone has had a Chinese manufactured ATV, Motorcycle, Scooter, etc that has stood the test of time.
I've been burned bad on a kids ATV and a few of my friends and brother have...
Ha ha, wow, $7000 for something that is most likely going to fall apart in no time and have no parts support. 250cc, 17 hp and a claimed 85 mph? Must be on a serious downhill :roflblack:.
I've...
I guess the other benefit of the wing bolts is if you wanted to quickly swap a second windshield depending how/when you're riding. I'd be curious if I could get the RoboBracket to give me decent...
mm, I like the spacer idea. I'm still getting some buffeting with my Ultra Touring windshield at freeway speeds. I wonder if it would weaken the windshield or fairing at the mount points too much...
I've learned a ton of info about my new Spyder on this site.. :2thumbs:
I just put on the BRP 23" Ultra Touring windshield and I like it about the same as the stock windshield for roads that are up to 60 mph. But I like the Ultra Touring when commuting to work on the...
YE! 1 week, 165 miles and I love it!
Thanks!!
Good information so far, I'll look into the Maxima. I didn't know you could mount any top box on the sport rack plate either, that opens up a lot of options.
Hi All, I'm getting a new Spyder next week, and one of the options I'm going to need is some sort of backrest. I've looked at the BRP option, Kewl Metals, Corbin, Givi and MMG. I just came across a...
