Thanks. I was doing at least the speed limit. Wink, wink.
Thanks Bob. No problem... I don't like my music as loud as I used to, and some say that's the definition of old. ;)

Stuck it between the fender and the ride side panel with a suction mount. Good angle and you can really see how active the shocks are.

No, can't say that I've heard of them. Let me know when you come down - will be more than happy to take you and your spyder on a tour. By the way, love the Mopar!
A little zoom zoom down the Diamondback...

Thanks everyone. The Devil's Whip, aka Hwy 80, runs from Marion, NC up to and across the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's definitely a "bucket lister", and yes, longer than 3 minutes and winds up and through...
3 minutes of video of me and Charlotte releasing the demons on The Devil's Whip today:

Yes, it's not that far. Look it up - 421 North from Mountain City, Tn to Shady Valley, Tn. Of course, there are other roads that intersect there in Shady Valley that are also referred to as "The...
Thanks - it was! I have an '08 SM5, so I have to do all of the gear changing myself. Most of the time I'm downshifting when the curves demand, but I do have to find my way to brake pedal occasionally...
GoPro Hero... love it.
Hey Dan!
Painted the whole Spyder (except the frunk and the gloss black panels) with the black bedliner back in the spring. Definitely a different look. Melikes.
Hopefully. Tried to post this before, but I guess that my soundtrack wasn't approved. Anyway, here is about 5 minutes of footage from my ride on The Snake (421 North) yesterday.

Thanks for sharing.
Punch line?
Sliding through the Snake this past Saturday. Cold and windy, but still a great day to ride.

Sorry 'bout Clyde. :( Thanks.
Riding to Boone, through the Snake to Shady Valley and around Watauga Lake this Saturday. If anyone is interested in joining me, let me know.
Mine cracked... down the middle during a ride on July 3rd. Crack was in the same location that others have reported - vertical on the front side of the tank. I currently have 23k miles on my '08 SM5,...
Amen. Gonna miss Andy.
Cool. I know that the riding while asleep, or at least not cognizant thing was pretty scary. Thanks for sharing.
There are restaurants off the Parkway - namely at the Pisgah Inn at Mt Pisgah and at Little Switzerland (Hwy 226A). Nice restaurants there. Great (and I mean great) twisty roads that you should try...
Thank you sir.
Thank you!
I thought that you might know this road. You're welcome and thank you!
You're welcome - thank you!

Sounds great Dan - just let me know.
Best,
Nick
PS - Vick says to tell Leah "hey!"
My wife and I enjoyed meeting and speaking with you Ray. If you find yourself in the Hickory area on the spyder, let me know - lots of great roads to show you here.
Dan,
Vickie and I will be there at 11:30 or a little before. Duck (Anita) is coming with us. Looks to be a great day, weatherwise. Be careful.
Nick
You're very welcome Paul. I understand your situation. NC 105 is a good road, just not known as an exciting one. There are a lot of excellent roads around Little Switzerland and around Boone that are...
Hi Paul,
I would go with option 1. Highway 221 is a beautiful (yet twisty) ride that will take you south of Boone and by Grandfather Mountain. I realize that you and your arachnid friends may be a...
