Would love to go trade in my 2014 RS-S for something with higher performance...but I guess we get to wait yet another year (and even then..who knows...). Disappointing.
No offense to Lamont at all... But he's not unbiased. It's also not a performance trike. Again, look at the riding position. It's a cruiser and that's fine. And by young I don't mean 23 year...
He can condemn it for the same reason I can. It's not a performance Spyder. The riding style is wrong for that purpose. It's an obvious cruiser and that's fine... But BRP needs to look at the...
Only if they make a simpler version with the RS/RS-S riding position. This isn't it.
I'm not being negative against the F3. I think the F3 is a GREAT cruiser setup. Really do. Has the looks and the setup to deliver. No doubt. But there are owners, like me, that want a...
But it's a totally different riding posture. That's the problem. It's a cruiser bike. Why won't BRP give us a good performance setup? I don't get it.
Same. Had money ready to go. Guess it's good I'm not spending it..but I sure wanted to do it....
It's all the same. The F3 has the RT driveline..same numbers exactly.
Wow. So it appears no changes to existing models. I had money set aside to go trade in my 2013 RS-S for a faster one seeing as that has been the expectation... Disappointing. Guess I'll do some...
Some of those combinations are just....wow. Not sure what the theme was there.
I like the naked look from the side a lot. The front...not loving it but it's growing on me. Need to see the lines in person. To me the front of the current Spyders is the worst angle. My RS-S...
Let them drive them a while. Not to mention I don't really take opinions from people on an unreleased product. The performance is going to be simple math.... Power to weight ratio. I'm sure it IS...
Little underwhelmed at the performance. Over twice the weight of my RS-S and not twice the power. Maybe more after market so we'll see...but 1,700lbs? I don't know....
Your best bet is to go separate.
Sounds fair since you have to do the decals.
It would be downright amazing if a leaning Spyder just appeared as a model. You'd think they'd be spotted going around the Tail of the Dragon and other test sites well before release. If they...
If you think this is "sour" I suggest you don't venture out too far on the Internet by yourself. :)
171 miles..CITY DRIVING. At 70mph they get about half that...and that's on a bike that's half the weight of most Spyders.
Since it's after market the warranty impact is the same no matter if you do it or the dealer does it. And the impact only matters if you cause a problem due to the wiring...it won't just void a...
You'd go maybe 20 miles. Tesla can go 250 miles or so because the entire bottom of that car is a battery bank. Doubt there is that much room in a Spyder for batteries even with the small electric...
More complexity. More weight. Unneeded.
THIS! THIS! That's all I want on the 2015 RS-S.
Completely different animal. How wide are the front wheels on the Piaggio? Much more narrow of a trike than the Spyder. I just don't see it working as well.
Thank you robmorg. You just said what I was thinking way better than I would have. The leaning on a Spyder just doesn't appear to me to be a natural thing.
I just really don't see that making anywhere close to enough differing in center of gravity to be worth all that complexity and weight.
I don't get the fascination with a leaning Spyder. You'd end up with rounded motorcycle tires (less traction) and only a slightly better center of gravity since you can't really lean the thing over....
Agree with everything you said. And if people here get ruffled at the "old-folks" machine comment their head is in the sand. I catch some very good hearted flack for riding one at 39. It doesn't...
Funny you mention this. Was out riding the other night and stopped at a new Jeep dealer to look at a new Grand Cherokee (Have a 2011 now). As I walked back to the Spyder I was headed straight...
If you don't have a product that a market really wants you won't sell many to that market. BRP has never targeted the younger, sport rider type market therefore they don't sell a lot in that area. ...
They sell a lot of RTs because that's how they've skewed the market. No doubt they make the most there...but their recent big push in to a younger demographic shows they see that as a big growth...
