Keep on mind to own a Spyder you have to be willing to spend allot more cash to make it rideable and enjoyable if you do not believe me just look at how many aftermarket vendors have popped up...
Yikes good thing he did not have to use those brakes in a hurry.
I wonder if cost of MFG is cuprit here and cheap lighter materials subject to cyclic loading is causing the failure.
If the OP...
You probably suffer from carpel tunnel narrowing of the area where the nerves run through.
There is company that is called Sims Vibration Labratory's they make essentially stick on vibration...
One oil cannot do it all Ron I agree. But lower reeving motors will not shear the oil like the Rotax. Sure some other MFG have high rev motor that suffer the same characteristics. If the motor is...
Heck my 750 hp Mustang Shelby does not shear oil like these BRP Rotax motors do maybe the design is the real issue? High Rev running hot not what I call a motor that is easy to maintain a or cheap...
Bob maybe his safety and health are more important than riding the roadster right now. Knowing the problems he has had I certainly would not ride that thing either.
Well hopefully it does not come with the other BRP options like;
Nad roasting heat.
Gas boiling.
spontaneous combustion.
Uncontrollable steering issues.
Leaking gaskets......oh that's right...
Yes indeed that is really fun and awesome bike but I have a Yamaha VMax 230 hp to rear wheel but that is a more straight away bike than the cornering of the FJR.
But actually a new Venture. Road...
he he he here come the cheerleaders on how to "fix" your problems.
maybe just maybe he is just sick of dealing with for now. So putting into storage it may be less likely to burn down his...
The ride and handling are fine the Elka fixed any issue but the idea that for the machine to handle as it should you need to do sway bars and shocks is my issue.
Again I want to be clear here my...
misconception go to: Read and learn this is a great site to get educated.

Be assured folks the mods fixed the issues. They absolutely fixed the that problem.
But being man of principle and only going to three wheels because I wanted too not "had" too I sat back and...
Yup I took it in the shorts but finally rid myself of this machine. The Spyder is an interesting concept with some really nice features but the head aches and poor customer support from BRP has...
Well said spyder mouse
Every person who stops me to talk about the Spyder gets full disclosure about the lack of empathy from BRP and the issues I fixed and the associated cost which has been well...
listen I certainly would not want to walk away from a great deal on Spyder you may want. I am just trying to be a realist and so you understand the additional cost to get the thing cooler. Getting...
The panels I show ARE NOT BRP they were totally useless in helping me mitigate the issue with heat. The panels I show have much greater intake of air than BRP and that is only part of the solution.
here you go plenty of air intake and cool running Spyder
The labs you are using are mainly labs that deal with Automobile Oils the oil that you use in a cycle is a different animal in that most cars are not running wet clutches like a MC does. I still am...
I will try an post some pics tomorrow
The shear strength of many synthetic is rather high again I would like to see that oil tested and see the results of different labs before I would be convinced. Of course I am not saying you should...
You know this is interesting. I would like to see test results from different labs on the same oil from the machine.
I seriously question how any synthetic is shearing in 4000 miles of highway...
My mods directly addressed the heat issues under the Tupperware and for example right by the rear header and gas tank reduced the heat by 40%. the fuel cap receiver is cool to the touch even in 90...
BRP will do,little or probably nothing, I knew this so I did the mods and reduced heat in the areas you described by 40% I have thread in the RT forum "heat mitigation" it was worth the time and...
I did it on my 2013 RT limited along with other mods 40% less heat (measured) around tank filler cap and Tupperware little more power not really any louder I have stock exhaust.
i think it helps...
I also have a set of 2013 RT Limited they had 1000 miles I replaced them with Elka shocks.
$100.00 plus shipping takes them.
Took delivery of one in May this stuff just irks the heck out of me one month late ............. crap....crap......crap:mad:
depress the bake while trying to start it.
but you did mods so the problem did exist
point taken:yes:
Yea rubber has tendency to "give" to be totally accurate check it after moving the machine a few times see if the measurements coorelate it will still only reference but it may give some idea.....
