Hi Rider - don't know what to tell ya. I too ride solo, easy riding senior, run about 28 lbs., and twice now I've gotten only 7500 miles per rear tire. A dealer told me that is exactly the mileage...
Thanks, Ann!
Wanted to get the Altimax RT43 to replace the Kendra rear tire on my RTS-SM6. But can't find it in the exact same size as original. I notice here on the forum some have deviated a bit in tire size...
Utopia! Color matched. Top quality. Back rest adjusts it's angle to your back, instead of visa versa like the BRP. Great people!!
All sounds good. Thanks so much for the input!!
I shall make the investment!!

Anybody had occasion to buy/try on an RT? My main concern is with blocking out air as I reside in a colder climate. I'm learning to check with the troops before I buy! Finally!!
Sounds right, Kngfsh. Thanx.
Just hit 6000 on the original rear tire and it ain't lookin too good. Appreciate the ideas here for replacement.
No contest here IMHO. Utopia backrest is the best - EZ install, very adjustable, half the cost of BRP and color matched to the seat, unlike BRP. Family owned and very good people! Ask for Linda.
Purchased my RTS-SM6 last May so missed Spyderfest 2016. Made it to the Rendezvous last August in Johnson Creek, though, sponsored by Rob's Performance. Figured that had to be second best to the...
And mine does the same dam thing. Put rain gear all over the highway. Hmmm.
Thanks, Dan!
Need more storage. Thinking on a trunk rack. See the Show Chrome and the Rivco. Any helpful hints out there??
Thank you !!
Mine does the same dam thing. Hmmm.
All set to go. #467 I think the counter said. Was at Rendezvous last year, but that's been my only event so far. Fired up for Springfield. Look forward to meeting y'all. !!
Amen to that. Started with the BRP back rest and was thankful dealership would allow return. Contacted family owned Utopia for my fourth backrest from them over the years. Great quality. To move...
Newbie here - just coming off two wheels myself. Loved your comments. Ditto on all.
Mines been off, but kinda like that idea. May give it a shot - no speed demon here. :riding:
Any of em out there??
Got my reservation and fired up for the trip down from Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Riding solo - looking forward to meeting a few Spyder mates.

Hope to make it! Got er in my calendar!
Somewhere along the line I had heard that the backrest install was easier with the seat off. Presuming holes had to be drilled in the underside of the seat, that made sense to me. Got that seat off...
Yep. I know that now. Somewhere I had heard that it was a much easier install to pull off the seat. Figured holes had to be drilled for that mounting bracket - imagine my surprise when I got that...
