I considered a Helibars, but for the expense , I decided to try the 2" riser first. It solved my reaching issues. Since the instal, I have over 5K miles. Very happy
Hope I don't get slammed here... But, does anyone own a Spyder and a Try-Glide?
Thanks Peter for the suggestion! Did not think about the battery cover, it appears the bottom portion was not sealed properly, probably fixed now!
Every time I wash my 2021 RTL, the Frunk gets soaking wet, but only at the bottom. Only using a normal garden hose. Can't tell where it's coming from! Any thoughts here? Thanks in advance.
I have a Zumo 595 and a XT The XT is much better in bright sunlight. The 595 is designed to work directly with Spotify and Pandora. The XT will play anything on my phone to my 21 RTL via Bluetooth....
I noticed a big difference and thought it was money well spent, but I do like working the curves, so it might depend on ones riding style
I personally found the original tool kit as being worthless. I made up my own with better tools
Really sorry to hear, they were a great addition to my RT
Another vote for a Russell Daylong. I currently own 4. 2 on BMW's, an Ultra Harley, and my 21 RTL. Bought my first one 20+ years ago, have some 300K miles on one. They just work. The rest listed here...
I prefer a Darian jacket. It's the best in hot weather. You open the sleeves and catch a mass flow of air. Better than any vents in any other jacket. I wear the Darian pants during the winter, but...
When it's so cold I'm turning on the grips, I will be wearing a deer skin gauntlet with Thinsulate. Low is just fine for me. So are the complaints with riders wearing a thin glove?
I needed to raise mine after the Russell seat was installed as it is higher than stock. The Lamonster kit will raise the floor boards 1.5". I went with the kit from Sling Mods which will do 1" and...
A Day Long is simply the best, and not just an opinion. Just had one made in leather on my 21 RTL, currently own 3 other bikes with a Russell. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for! 206568
Wife and I always travel with ATGATT. Motoport Kevlar pants and a Aerostich Darien or leather. But will admit, at times I will run an errand not wearing a jacket, But always at least jeans, boots,...
Without looking for a circuit that is always hot, you could disconnect the existing connectors, and run new wires to either the battery or in my case, an added 12 volt aux. source.

Gotta decide what the main focus of the trip is. The destination or wandering on secondary roads. Wandering will add more days to a trip, and food and more rooms. We try and do a little of both. We...
It took around 100+ miles, then went away on its own. I had pulled the switch out and cleaned it the best I could. Exercised it while connected. I could not un-plug it without taking a lot of...
Have not heard that one, would probably have to be a LEO that's offended by our flag...... I'm not taking it off unless forced too. My wife is a retired Kern co. Deputy and several of her old running...
I have always been an all weather rider. Temperature is not an issue. I live west of Death Valley and deal with a lot of extreme heat. When it's 115+ we ride early morning, but some times there is no...
I remember Bill and have seen several of his seats. Back in the mid 90's, I started doing a number of IBA rides and met a lot of the riders at different events. They were more Daylong saddles than...
I went with all leather, have not heard about using vinyl inserts as being better
I have been using a Russell seat on my other bikes for some 20 years, currently have 4, now 5 for my 2021 RTL. Choose the all-leather version and passenger option. Very pleased with how it looks and...
I did the install, was plug and play after all the disassembly........ Went with the brake module, like all the different options. Really like the flag, get a lot of likes from it. Being visible is a...
On my 21 RTL with 19K, the banner on the display would not go out. Pulled the brake light off the trunk to better expose the micro switch. All looked clean and I could clearly hear it clicking. It...
All the Garmin models have different force load requirements. I spend a lot of time on ADV. There are some series GPS geeks there. On a recent trip with my XT, it did the same thing. Read on ADV to...
I received a letter from a toll road outfit claiming I blew off a toll on a road some 300+ miles away. Bill is now $45. and will be another $100. in 10 days if I don't pay it. I responded claiming I...
Being retired, I also like planning my trips months ahead. My reservations are all made, but ready to ride now!
Would really like to purchase one of your systems, but it's very disappointing you will not ship to California...... They are lots of states that say altering an exhaust is illegal, why only...
Been using a Widder vest for some 25 years, the wife has a Aerostich vest. I personally prefer a vest over a sleeved jacket. Have never needed socks, pants or gloves. Have traveled to Alaska 6 times,...
