1968 Honda 305 Dream.
Update- 7 years and I finally had to replace the battery. It wouldn't start when I came out of the barber shop so I had my wife bring my Battery Tender Jr. and the barber was nice enough to let me...
Thanks everyone for the replies. I had it serviced yesterday when I had the rear tire put on and the battery is on the long list of things they say they checked. In the winter, I put it on a Battery...
My 16 RT has the original battery and I was thinking about changing it just because of all the problems I've read about people having with a bad battery. My questions are how long have you guys gone...
Thanks Mike!!
Mike, you think 18 is a good number to run on this tire?
I got the tire on today and it felt good. The dealer had 26 psi in it but when I got home I dropped it to 18. Thanks everyone for your comments and advise!!
So, I dropped off the tire and the Spyder this morning and at noon I got a call. Joe, the service manager told me the tire was the wrong size, and he couldn't install it. I said Joe, we spoke about...
Spyder dealer, Formula 1 Motorsports, Oakdale, NY. They are charging me $75 to mount and balance.
I've never even seen triple digits!!
I might have gone with the 205/65 or the 225/60 if...
Of all the recommended tires the only tire I could get locally is the Altimax in a 215/60. Its a T rated because they told me its not available in an H or V. Thats OK because I usually stay below 118...
Many electrical problems are caused by a bad ground. Like others have said, load test battery and check grounds.
Thanks Mike. Looks like that is what I will order. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks everyone for your help!!
Thanks for the reply troop but I don't see a 215/60-15 on there. I do see a 205/60 though and I might get that.
Thanks for all your help Peter. It is much appreciated!! I have not been able to find the Vredesteins in 215/60 on TR or DT. Do you know where I could find them?
Thanks Mikey. I have searched and while some threads are recent, most are over a year old. I started this thread so I could find the latest info available, but you are correct, not much has changed!!
I just saw this after I posted!!! Back to the Drawing board!!! What do you think of the Michelins?
I think I am going with the 215/60 Altimax, even though it appears to only come T rated in that size. I am open to other suggestions if anyone has a rear tire they really like, otherwise I will order...
The 225/60 is even taller than the 205/65. I haven't heard of anyone using that size.
Its only available in 205/65 H or V rated. The 215/60 is T rated
I will consider the 205/65 as the 205/60 isn't available from my supplier on Long Island. The only thing that worries me is this tire 1.62" bigger than stock. You have no clearance issues?
The one on Tire Rack is a 94T. I don't see an H or V rating any where in the description.
So far I've got it narrowed down to the Vredestein Quatrac 5 in 205/60/15 or the General Altimax RT43 in 215/60/15. I welcome any comments about the longevity of these tires or any other...
Thanks for the info. Anyone have experience with the Kumho Ecsta AST 225/50-15?
Anyone have significant mileage on the Q5? How is it holding up?
You have that tire on your machine? How many miles and how is it holding up?
How about the Vredestein Quatrac 5 in 205/60/15. Anyone have any comments about that tire?
Thanks for the replies. Any other suggestions?
It looks like I need a rear tire on my 16 RT. I have 9000 miles on it and I could probably get away with another few thousand, but I would rather be safe than sorry, especially since I'm going on a...
I'm taking the 7AM ferry this Saturday (June 9) from Orient Point to New London. Riding up from there with some buddies. Anyone else?
That is within 1 or 2% of what I got with a bathroom scale.

Right front 340 lbs.
Rear 396 lbs.
Total 1056 lbs.
