I am at 16 -17 front and 19-20 rear and that seems to be the "sweet spot" !
As a preventative measure, I popped mine off ( they came of too easy!), I tied on a small tether with 20# mono fishing line which should easily hold if they fall off... easy peasy!!
I run Quatrac 5 all around and currently dialed in at 16# front, 19# rear!
Can you post a couple of closeup pics of the scratches and I (and others) will be able to give better advice.
I have also adjusted down to 16 front and 18 rear and that seems to be the safest sweet spot. After over 3k miles they still look brand new! I live in wet, sunny South Florida.
Sticky tires are...
Also, not Mike here...
I have put on approx 3k miles on my quatrac ( I have them on all 3).
They are far superior to Kenda and ride soft and smooth butttt, I wouldn’t call them sticky as the rear...
I have Vredestein Quatrac 5 all around. I have put around 3k miles on them so far and I find them to be smooth and relatively quiet.
I was ryding in a really bad South Fl rainstorm with a crazy...
I know...just messin!
I hate a seat that cries😄
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
2017 F3 T... No Problem, fit fine!
UP, I have over 3000 miles on mine (all 3) and I notice a huge difference from the Kendas. I am looking forward to your thoughts and report!
Did the Elka shocks help with high speed jitters in the wind?
Which Elkas did you go with?
Tom,
I would lower the rear tire pressure a little. Mine spun out right after I had it installed. They had put 28# and it was a very light rain.
I am currently running 22# in the rear and it feels...
btw - I have experimented with # air and currently running 18# front and 22# rear and that seems to be the magic
formula for me. F3T
The Sportrac comes in a 215 size and is actually better rated in the rain, however, I think you will have a difficult time
finding them in the US. For some reason, no one is mentioning these...
I...
I also put the Vredestein Quatrac 5 on all 3 of my F3T wheels and I like them a lot.
I do wish the rear were wider, mostly for aesthetics.
Also, Vredestein makes a sportrac version which is rated...
Where are you in Florida? We have an active group of awesome Spyder Ryders in South Fl !
There are other fantastic groups around the State....Welcome!!
What part of Florida do you live?
We have a great group of Spyder Ryders in South Florida and there are several other chapters in the state as well...hope to catch you on a ryde some day.
I have been playing with the pressure a little and just went to 20# front and 22# rear...
so far this is my favorite combo! I ryde an F3t. I have vredesteins on all 3 wheels.
My research also shows that Vredesteins are a brand from the Netherlands and highly regarded. The Sportrac 5 is a Summer tire ( difficult to get in the US ) and the Quatrac 5 is an all season tire. I...
Maybe you should tread lightly ( no pun intended ), let’s try to stick to positive input on the thread at hand and not get political or personal!! It makes zero sense to get off topic...
Vredestein 205 width claim to be 8.5” as opposed to 8.1” like the average 205 width.Remember every manufacturer uses a different method as there is no real concrete standard!!
Yokohama 205 have a...
Actually, I just recalculated and my size choice seems correct, height wise the oem Kenda rear is taller.
I did check... I have the 175/55 up front and 205/60 rear. The strange thing is, it may be a mistake! Double check before you order, the 205/50 may be a better match height wise.
I'm pretty sure that's what I have but I will double check when I get home later this afternoon...
Tom and everyone...
Very Important!
Go to a site like tiresize.com and you can plug in the sizes and do a comparison.
I did all of the research and that's how I came up with what sizes worked...
Tom, I'm pretty sure I have the 205/60R15 on the rear.
I am running 175 up front and the 205 in the rear. I did a lot of research and it seemed that was the best combo. They all fit fine, no issues. They also run smooth. I have to tell you, the rear...
Plexus spray is awesome on all the plastic, windshield, face shield etc...
