Jerry you don’t actually drill through the control arm you drill through the plastic piece that actually sits on the control arm. Where they mount Is just a spot on the plastic dress piece.
All right think I am going to go with these. They are plug and play with on/off switch. Reflector style housing.

Okay following up with an update. Fuel tank is completely rusted inside and so is fuel pump. Fuel filter strainer turned into powder. Replacing both tank and pump assembly. Removal is a bit of a pain...
I have a 2008 spyder and I believe the fuel pump is bad on it. Have any of you guys removed the fuel pump? I'm not really sure how to really get to it to pull it out. Thanks
Remove and bench test the starter. Went through this with an Indian motorcycle I own. Turned out to be a bad armature in the starter causing an internal short. Bike would start to crank for a second...
Looking for one around 5000 miles or less. Located in NY but will consider traveling upwards of a 1000 miles or so. Not a big dealer fan so I figured I'd try here first.
Thanks
2012 also had fox shocks I believe. From doing some more research and info from Bob, I think I will try and find a 2012. The fewer electronics to cause issues the better.
Not much of a price difference, being used numbers are all over the place. Didn't realize there was a change in the engine though, thought that was the same.
Any reason to take one over the other if buying used? I know the dash cluster and front fender lights are different on the 2013. looking for thoughts on the matter. Thanks
I have that in my garage but mine is grey with Jardines and a power commander plus I pulled off my secondery throttle plates. Bike is a beast.
It can be done for a daily driver without issues. Only really boosting when into the throttle other then that it has a by-pass valve. I don't think water would be an issue unless maybe you slightly...
Okay got it. I would have thought they would have had a rubber style boot or smaller fitting piece for up there.
