I know we never have anything on or near our keys.
Makes sense, thanks.
Thanks for the info. Funny thing is, we bought this Spyder brand new. It had been back to the dealer a few times for some warranty work but none of it was ever for a DESS issue. We just recently had...
This is what I'm talking about. I don't believe that is the antenna.

Also, one odd thing I noticed on the old original module was it had something that looked like a cylindrical magnet zip tied to it that a couple of the wires looped through it. That just looked like...
This is what I get in my service manual. Sorry for the sideways picture.

Hello all, I just installed a new DESS module in my wife's 14 ST Limited. I was under the impression that there was a procedure to make the new module recognize the 2 keys? I installed the module and...
Thanks for the info! I'll have to drop him a PM and see if he's interested. I'm hoping it was just a freak incident but I highly doubt it.
Is the DESS module plug and play or does it require...
Is there anyone in the vicinity of Connecticut that has the software to shut off the D.E.S.S.? My wife's 14 ST gave her that fault today, once. She cycled the key once and all was fine.
Anyone on here from CT still riding their Spyder?
So you have the Cam Am/Givi cases but no mounting racks?
I ended up having the dealer replace the canister under warranty. Then I took it home and added a longer section of hose that goes from the fuel tank to the canister. I routed it so it went way up...
I found this, but I think when you actually try and order it they'll say it's no longer available but maybe you'll get lucky....
There is no recall for it. It's more of a courtesy from Can Am if the customer comes in complaining of high heat while riding. This a "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" kind of situation here.
The factory kits from Can Am are discontinued and pretty much non-exsistant. You might get lucky finding one but I doubt it at this point.
Get a hold of the member spacetiger https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/member.php?13953-spacetiger from the link in the second post above. He helped me with front springs for my ST Limited. The ride...
If most interested have Facebook just create a group and have everyone join.
If I remember correctly you need a tool to literally spin the piston back into the caliper to compensate for the park brake mechanism screwing the piston out every time you apply the park brake....
My wife has a 14 ST-L we bought brand new. I will say, that thing used quite a bit of oil for a long time. It's now got 12,000 miles on it and we just got back from a 1200 mile trip and it didn't use...
I own one already but, any idea what weight it's sprung for?
My wife has the ST-L with the radio, I think she's taken it off mute 2 times in the 4 years we've owned it. Ha ha.
The one with the HYD has a remote knob for changing spring preload rather than getting in there with a spanner wrench to spin the adjuster.
Sorry for the delay, I sent you a PM.
I'd search Ebay for someone selling parts from an ST Limited. If they're selling parts I'd assume they're selling a unit for parts and maybe you could get all the stuff used.
I noticed this place...
I think that part # is for the RT.
I believe this is the ST kit. 219400521
We tightened ours to the max and it still wasn't enough so I upgraded to Eibach springs.
Our factory shocks were the Fox shocks but the springs were way too weak. So with some help of the member spacetiger on here I was able to upgrade just the springs to Eibach springs with a higher...
We've had a 14 ST-L since 2015 and have had no problems with heat on the feet. I know there was a huge improvement on heat dissipation from 13-14 but your 16 should be the same as our 14.
I was driving by for work. I'm out in Ashford, my wife has an ST-Limited and I ride a Triumph Tiger.
Who did I see at the Diner today? I saw two, a white and a black RT there when I drove by.
