After replacing rear tire ,for the first time, ABS and brake failure indicators showed up. 2014 STS manual shift.Emergency brake not holding as well as it did before.
Any ideas?

Happens more often than we think...parking brake cable and or pivot needs adjusting. Check that the abs sensor and or wires have not been moved or damaged. Also check fluids switches bulbs but would suspect the first parts having to do with tire change....:thumbup:
I am very mechanically challenged to say the least so I can't add anything about the tire change but the STs are very brake fluid sensitive. If your brake fluid level is down just a little bit, even a few tablespoons worth the brake failure light will come on. Just passing along another suggestion from past experience. Cindy
I took the Spyder for a short ride down the block to see if I could detect the problem, hit the brakes and the error messages cleared. I guess all's well that ends well.
What pressure should I try with the Kumho Ecsta. Other than looking at wear on the tire, what indicators should I pay attention to.

The problem with the tire you chose is that is is too hard and has poor traction. Especially on a lighter RS or ST, riding one up. On wet or cold pavement be very careful. It can be dangerous. The lower the air pressure you run the better the traction will be. When I had one one I ran it as low a 22 psi before I gave. Some folks said I should have tried 18 psi before giving up on the tire.

Almost any car tire you are switching to in the rear in place of the Kendas will have harder sidewalls. That doesn't mean that they are bad. They were designed to handle much heavier weights. Try running 22 or 23 lbs. in your tire. Most people running car tires with lower pressures are very happy and getting at least double the miles of the stockers without feeling like they are giving up traction. I have a Toyo on my rear and am very happy with its performance at 23 PSI. And just to add to the argument, I only paid around $70.00 for the tire.
