Seeing old friends and making new ones is what this is all about! So good to see our friends! Naturally , we had to hang out in the parking lot until now to chat! My sides hurt from laughing! I might have to administer a dose of rum for medicinal purposes! Okay, another dose....
big fun; if you are uncertain, COME!
If you think "I don't know anyone", COME!
It's too far (really? Ask MurphyBrown - From Washington State, on her Spyder!) COME!
Too hot, cold, wet, dry.....COME!
Such fun, the fellowship is what makes it magic! It makes an Internet forum alive! The 'net is a tool to communicate. This rally makes it real. Alive, and wonderful. Spyder folks are the nicest people. I'm honored to be included. You can too! COME!!!
Special thanks to Len and Lamont for making it happen! Very cool thing. I might have mentioned it: COME!!!
Glad you and Ann made it, Joe. I'll find you sometime today and show off my new machine!
Made Tucumcari, NM. Just shy of 700 miles. In the 30's! Brrrrr! Should get home tomorrow. Safe travels to all ! Joe
I am curious if anyone knows the percentage of attendees that haul their Spyder to the fest vs those that Ryde all the way.
can someone guess or maybe tell me what you did.
Ryde on!
Rolled the other 780 today. Home by 10, including stopping for dinner! Cold in spots, ran in rain for less than an hour. Never hot! Bikes ran flawlessly! Ann was a tablespoon shy of brake fluid, auto parts store had dot 4. Never touched a tool, averaged 65mph for the whole trip. 1450 each way, 100 in and around miles. 3000 total. Piece of cake!
Saw a dozen trailers at the Lamplighter. IDK about the other hotels, but I bet the number is pretty low. Met a couple in Tucumcari who trailered. Nice folks. You have to build up to long distance. Or, take many days. Either way, beats trailering! Just go!
