I think the big question is where will you be staying? Lots of places to stay but I want to make friends I never had before and meet up with friends I haven't seen in a while.
Comfort Inn (Formerly Jamison Inn) was the host hotel last year..Virtually every room was from Spyder owners.
I heard the Comfort Inn will be having massive parking lot parties .........
for some reason that I can not fathom the comfort inn is sold out.
We are at the Microtel it is really close to the fairground and they have a picnic table for parking lot partying
I'm new enough that I don't know where Maggie Valley is. Will someone kindly tell me??
Maggie Valley is in western North Carolina at the Tennessee border.
We'll be at the Travelowes Motel, which is very close to the fairgrounds. I think right next door to the Comfort Inn, but was half the price when we made reservations. Most likely, you will have a difficult time finding a room in Maggie Valley, but I could be wrong.
Tried Microtel, Travelowes, and Comfort...nothing available. Are ya'll checking in on the 12th and out on the 14th?
Guess I need to check for more motels.
I just booked at the Smoky Falls Lodge, 3/10 mile from the festival grounds. I had booked a cabin at Creekwood Farms RV Park, but decided to move closer to the action - a lesson learned at Spyderfest.
Then I will stay at the Day's Inn in Greeneville, TN, after the BBQ.
GF and I ended up renting a house via HomeAway. We've never been to the area before, so we're going to turn the event into a long weekend. Even better, we've got (non-riding) friends joining us that weekend, they'll be bringing their kids down and staying the entire week after.
Looking forward to enjoying all the area has to offer, and making plenty of new Spyder-riding friends! :2thumbs:
