Here gas was 4.19 for regular yesterday morning, 4.29/gal last night.
Morning Chuckle:
Yesterday afternoon in the TX Hill Country:
$4.699 …… 93 Octane …. at Exxon.
$3.99 and up for Regular
Yesterday the grocery store was $3.69. Up 30 cents from two days previous.
$4.39 average.
My neighborhood (3 stations in a five mile radius), seem to be holding at $3.69 for regular. One went down to $3.66.
Here in Southern Ontari-owe Canada regular today is $1.84 a liter, Premium up somewhere above $2.00.... so roughly $6.00 or $6.75 US a US gallon. If you are lucky enough to live near a First Nation/ Reserve with a gas station you can knock about 30 to 50 cents a liter off those prices as they don't charge the provincial taxes on gas sold on their territory.
Today in Western New Mexico at Flying J, $4.75 for premium. Wow, now twice as much per tank!
For now, in my part of Oz we seem to be holding steady at the sorta prices mentioned above, give or take the usual weekly fluctuations of up to 5-10c or so per litre between the Tues-Friday lower price cycle & the higher prices from Friday Arvo 'til Tuesday Morning - well it is the weekend or filling after the weekend, so I guess they assume that's gotta be for recreation, and of course you'll pay more for gas when it's used for recreation! So we generally try to fill on Tuesday arvo here, AFTER the prices drop; then again BEFORE Friday Lunchtime, when they go back up for the weekend! Then going on a weekend ryde over 200 miles or so isn't quite so painful... :banghead:
But if you happen to travel much beyond the coastal fringe of 'settled areas' & head into the Outback, especially the remote Outback not only do you need to check carefully to see if there's gas available along your route, you should also expect to pay AUD $3.00 or more for Std ULP (IF you can get it! And when you can get it, it's rarely the Std 91RON most outlets sell in the cities, it's usually low octane 87RON 'Opal' fuel to discourage petrol sniffing. :( ) and it usually costs even more for diesel! . Many Outback pumps (not that there really are all that many! :p ) especially the older 'analogue' style pumps, no longer bother with 'Cents' on the display - it's all just whole Dollars, rounded up.... I can tell you that putting in over $60 worth of 87 RON Opal gas to fill the Spyder (just under 20 litres) was a bit of a shock! :sour: And yeah, my milage/economy on the 87RON Opal WAS significantly reduced! Barely got 100 miles of careful knock limiting/gas conserving running outta that tank, against my usual 150-200 miles of (somewhat 'spirited' :p ) ryding from the 95 RON that I usually run. :sour:
Still, I'm sorta glad I'm not filling the Long Range tanks on the 4WD's any more - right now, filling one of those vehicles with diesel would take close to $1000! :yikes: Yeah, orright, I could usually expect to travel at least 3500kms or 2200ish miles on the almost 300 litres of diesel they carried, but still, outlaying that sorta cash is a big hit in the hip pocket! (And they're remote too, often no cell-phone service or internet, so cash is still king out there! ;) ) But you gotta pay if you wanta go remote places in this wiiide country we've got here Down Under.... :ohyea:
If the oil and fuel prices are coming down, they forgot to tell the gas stations around here.....:hun:
Here 1,909 € = 2,0936 $ USA, today. Tomorrow who know
Please just don't take it out on the poor guy at the pump.
It's not his fault.
Did that for five years after hi-school.
One day I just had enough, customer was screaming at me about the price of fuel.
I turned to him and said, sir if you would please give me your name and phone number and the next time I have lunch with the president of Imperial oil I will be sure to tell him how displeased you are.
It seems to be holding at $3.69 for regular...most places around here. I did see one $3.74.
Northern mexifornia, $5.59/gal for 91. The least expensive in town. DAMMMM!
Overhere in the Netherlands, we now pay 2.55 euro, per liter (2.82 US Dollar) :(, and no sign, of getting cheaper...
Saw $3.94 for regular (87) here in deep South Texas today.
$3.72 @ Buc-ee's Daytona Beach
In the truck today and noticed gas was down about 15 cents a gallon from a couple weeks ago. Had half a tank left, but stopped and topped it off anyway. $4.19 a gallon today. Still not cheap. Cost almost $65 to top off a tank that was half full already.
Still holding at $3.69 for 87 regular, 10%
:dontknow:.... Gas in Indiana has been very active. Two days ago the price was $4.25/gallon of regular. This morning the price is $4.45. Why, I don't have a clue.
