How about a re-direct. Getting a bit off topic.
Wow- I didn't know that was a contracted Job. Yeah those can go either way- long term or they hire you down the road or cancel the contract. :yikes:
Hope you land something soon!
The contract was thru a temp agency.
I have already had a company call me.
Also, I had an interview with an other company, waiting to hear back from them next week. I wont seat idle to long, I am a go getter, hard worker, have a an excellent work ethic.

I am going to keep this thread going.
So other members know what is happening with me job wise.
I appreciate the comments, and helpful ideas people give me.

I was just thinking. Working through the temp may turn out to be somewhat of a blessing. It's my impression that if you are in good with the temp agency, and they have a good impression of you, they can locate a lot more opportunities for you than you can on your own. Good luck. You'll end up in a good spot soon!

Well, today I had phone call, from a company that I applied on line( last night thru the Indeed Website) for, they'll send me information to my personal email address, I said to them that I can't do the 12 hours shifts, but i can work the 10 hours or the 8 hour shifts.
I'll post more info on this when I can.
Everyone don't forget I have 20 years of manufacturing/work/job knowledge/ technical experience under my belt. So I wont have any problems finding work. Mather of fact the State of Vermont is having problems finding skilled workers in any manufacturing jobs. The state of Vermont unemployment rate is 2.8 %.

Well I had other job interview yesterday, it went well. Just waiting to hear back from them next week. Waiting not knowing is the problem.
Deanna
The right job "for you" will come. The wait is hard. The reward will be worth it.
Deanna, After a particularly good interview, do you follow up with a "Thank You" back to the interviewer? It has been more than a decade since I was involved in the hiring process and I know times and processes change. But, when I had several candidates that I all liked, I found that I liked the ones that sent me a "Thank You" better. Something short and sincere. Nothing gushy or wordy..... Just a thought. The best to you..... Jim
Jim, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll send a "Thank You" note.. The person that did the interview knew me( from my previous employment, the job that I had been at for 20 years). She knows my work ethic and etc. Yea, things change in" the looking for work sector".

Deanna,
Since Meg and I spent some time with you we can both say you are an intelligent, hard working women. We have no doubt you will be hired by a company that will see you for Who you are. Good Luck!
Good luck with your interview. Dale
I'll post on this thread when I get a job.
I'll keep this thread going until I find a job.

I really think Deanna has misunderstood about "closing the thread soon"
My understanding was that if it closed soon it would mean she had got a new job (which is what we all want !)
Why? I am half a world away and have found it both interesting and heartening reading not just your trials and tribulations of becoming unemployed then trying to find a new job but how much support you have received from forum members/friends. I have not commented as I am new to the forum and didn't want to risk sounding insincere as I do not know you personally. Keep it going and good luck finding the right job!
PS oldgoat I took your comment as a positive and as it turns out the way you meant it.
