Well the bike has arrived and was uncrated by the dealer only to find a missing windshield motor and reverse module. I guess BRP is still in a trick bag with its suppliers. Oh well, I need to clean up the garage anyway.
:chat: ... Well, I hope your wait time will be short. Supply parts are coming out slowly and nobody seems to be able to find a good fix.
I just checked with my Spyder Dealer about the 'Front Sprocket' that was due 9/15/2022. Now BRP has it listed as not available till 2023.
This is a Safety Issue. The World is a real mess ..... :helpsmilie:
Talked to my dealer today, he says that my bike should arrive tomorrow. He said that they would put it together as quickly as they can and let me know when it's ready.
It's been almost 10 months of waiting, but the end is finally in sight.:ohyea:
Picked up my 2022 Sea to Sky last Thursday, what a disaster. When I got there, some guy was just finished spraying Maxima SC1 High Gloss Coating on the satin paint. What a mess. When I looked at the ride height arm on the suspension, it was not connected. I had the dealer install the factory floorboard lights. Although the lights do light-up when the bike runs, they were not wired correctly and the wires from the floorboards are visible at the back of the floorboards.
I initially was not going to take the bike and ask for my money back, but after contacting my professional car care/detailing specialist while at the dealership and showing him the glossy stuff on the satin paint, he told me that he could most likely remove it.
I brought the bike to a professional car care/detailing specialist the following day and they tried 4 different cleaners until he found one he thinks may be capable to lifting the SC1 from the paint without damaging the paint. But it will take a couple days and will be very costly. Speaking of costly, they charged be $759 to install the floorboard light. Had I known that is was so expensive, I would have done it myself.
It took 10 months to get "a" Spyder and I'll try not to let a few bad things affect me. In a month or two all will be fixed (fingers crossed).
Our local dealer (Bremerton, WA) had a few in stock. I bought a carbon black 2022 Spyder RTL from them about a week and a half ago. The color wasn’t my first choice, but they threw in a driver’s back rest, luggage rack and passenger arm rests (all which are on order). Other dealers in WA have ‘22 Rykers and Spyders either in stock or available to order. I found quite a few in my state on cycle trader.
:coffee: I just saw this from BRP. They are saying order your 2023 Spyder and get some 'extra specials'. Check out the online Spyder Shop.

I have a 2018 RTL and went in today to pick up my new F3L. Already paid for, get there and it's not the one I ordered. It was matte black body with shiny black fenders and black trim, might be liked by many, but I hated it and if I'm going to spend $30,000 on something I want to like it. It looked like it was put together with spare parts. I went round and round with the sales manager and was ready to get a refund, and they finally made a deal with me for a red F3 Limited special series that they had. The problem is, there just isn't many of them around, and I was fortunate that I liked the only other one they had. They told me the rear cargo locking mechanism on the black one that I didn't want was missing and they would have to have it on backorder from Canada. While I was waiting I was talking a guy, and he drove all the way from Lake Tahoe down to where I'm at in Oceanside, California to buy one (a different F3 model). He said there was nothing up that way. Anyway, this is it.
I have heard that there are some good deals on the 'canceled by long wait time' 2022 Spyders. So if you want to accept a new 2022 or wait for a 2023, your deal.
Either way, it comes down to the Ryde Time season coming up. For me the Spyder season is almost over.

I wonder if this means they are taking a hit on orders for 2023 due to the long wait times for 2022's, they don't start pulling specials unless sales are down.
Just looked at the site for my areas promotions and they are not really offering that much.
2023 Rykers $750 rebate
2023 F3's and Rt's extending warranty out to 3 years. 2 years reg. 1 year BEST, and then some don't even have that
2022 F3's and Rt's No payment for 6 months + Take $150 off $750 on Can-Am accessories and apparel
Yea I guess you will need that extra 6 month's of no payments since you will have no spyder to ride during that 6 months. Gee thanks BRP for being so generous!:roflblack:
22 F3L Special Model is supposed to have a factory drivers backrest installed!? My dealer had one like yours with the backrest, per their specs.

:coffee:... Just wanted to know if anyone is still waiting on their 2022 Spyder?
Or still waiting for some parts to complete the Spyder.

:coffee:...I think that the 'jolly old man' is trying to get all the 2022 Spyders delivered by the end of this year.
Just going to have to wait and see what happens.

I'm still waiting for the passenger arm rests for my 22 RT. I ordered my Spyder back in April, got it in Sept with the usual missing items, reverse and windshield motor. Assembled like ****. Height link not tied in. Told dealer and they just about laughed it all off like, "Oh well..." I like the salesman but I was lied or *********** to about everything by the owner. They tried to finance me with high rates when my credit score was 800+... Never again... :banghead:
Similar situation here. Was awaiting the heated grip switch and after taking to another dealer for the install, they told me the passenger grips that came with my RT Limited do not have the heating elements, so now I have to go back to Imotorsports for more parts and hassle.
Glad you caught the financing run-around. You would be surprised at how many people get burned that way. It is very easy to arrange financing on your own with good credit. In most cases dealers will find the highest interest they can. They get a "cut" of the package. It is known as "dealer reserve" in the financing realms.
:spyder: .... Well folks, I put in a good word for you. Now we will just have to wait and see. Hopefully this cold weather is not the problem. Enjoy your Day and Stay Safe.
