I am wonder if any one has any experience with mounting saddle bags on a STS other than the stock BRP ones?

Fyi a bud mounted some for his wife. got them off E bay. But. Here is the link to the actual store they come from. http://m.siriusconinc.com/products-d...roduct_id=6870 The saddle bag part no - 56-9991. The mount bracket part no 16-2933. These are for her 2013 STS. You need to make sure of correct parts for his Model. Look good enough & they are quite happy. Fyi he is a mechaic by trade. Sorry no pic, would turn upsidedown anyway:gaah:
I just installed some Corbin Fleetliner bags on my ST Limited. I really like them. What do you want to know?
:nopic: :2thumbs:
The Corbin bags take a longtime to order because they make everything from scratch, even the mounting hardware. They paint them for you to match your spyder.
Installing them is not easy though. Allow yourself a long weekend to devote to the install. The instructions are not really that clear and you may have to make a trip to the hardware store to buy a few nuts and bolts that they did not include.
What size should I make them?
I think that they'll load as long as they're less than 2 MB...
 Did they color-match them for you? :2thumbs:
We're gonna need to see some more pictures!! nojoke
I am still waiting on the Smuggler trunk and seat. It may take a couple more weeks.
http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/a...d=123771&stc=1Ok Im getting the hang of it now.
I had to re do this one
http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/a...d=123775&stc=1
I ordered them in the middle of November. They say it takes 4 to 6 weeks but they had a machine break down and they take 3 weeks off for the Holidays. That really delayed it. I still have not got my Smuggler and seat. They told me there was a problem with the smuggler. I thought it was a paint problem but the other day I called and they said it would take 2 more weeks. Im thinking they had to make another one. The seat is done, but I would need them both at the same time to install them. The smuggler takes the place of the rear seat. Either way I am not mad or impatient. I just want them to have it right whenever it gets here. I can run my stock seat till then.
If you get the Fleetliner I would advise to remove all the hardware that goes with the givi bags if you have those like I did. I had a member here contact me to buy them without me ever posting them for sale. I had to take it all apart again to get the parts to make a complete set to send him.
