I saw a Slingshot on the road today. I live near the worlds biggest Polaris dealership. Maybe it was a demo ride, or maybe they are being shipped to new owners now.

so there out there..?? At least the demos....:roflblack:
None out here, yet... perhaps this week??
I'd like to try one but seems more like an ATV or mini-car than a motorcycle?
I'd like to rent one in a fun part of the country, but I could never see it replacing my Spyder.
How far are you from Roseau? It might be worth taking a ride...
(Or have they moved operations from there?)
Sat in one at the old Harley Dealership in Daytona for Biketoberfest. Can't really give an opinion about it. You do sit mighty low and the metal engulfs you like a cage convertible.

Oh I'm a good 300 miles south of Roseau. I think they still make the snowmobiles and atv's up there. I'm only guessing but I bet the Slingshot comes out of the atv factory and not the motorcycle factory. I might go ride one in the near future, but I'm quite sure I would never buy one.
Only 300 miles? :D
That's a nice "start to the day"!
You'd even be home in time for a late Supper!
Seriously; if anybody is up near Polaris' Corporate headquarters, we'd apprectiate it, if you keep your eyes open! :2thumbs:
All model year 2015 Slingshots are being built in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
It looks cool and would be fun on a closed racetrack, but how could it ever replace the feeling of motorcycling/trikeing?:doorag:
I just read the article on 'Motorcycle.com' and the comments at the end.
Man, there are a lot of haters of anything that has three wheels !
They can hate all they want - it's the future. Safety, fun, cost, etc. More and more of them are hitting the US roads.
